Cookie Policy
The short version: no tracking cookies, no consent banner needed. Here’s the detail.

Most websites open with a cookie banner asking you to accept tracking. Ours doesn’t — because there’s nothing to accept. This site sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We do count visits, using a cookieless service that stores nothing on your device. This policy explains what that means.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device. They’re widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences, or — most commonly — to track visitors across pages and websites for analytics and advertising. Under UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, “PECR”), anything beyond “strictly necessary” cookies needs your consent.
2. How we use cookies
We keep this simple. The NorthMSP website has no logins, no shopping basket and no tracking. We don’t set our own cookies for analytics or marketing.
The only cookies that may be set are strictly necessary ones placed by our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, to keep the site secure and running — for example, to help distinguish genuine visitors from automated attacks. These are exempt from the consent requirement because the site couldn’t function safely without them.

These set no advertising identifiers and aren’t used to build a profile of you.
3. No tracking — and how we count visits
We want to be clear about what we don’t do:
- No Google Analytics, and no analytics cookies of any kind.
- No advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking pixels.
- No third-party trackers or data brokers.
We do want to know which pages are useful, so we use Cloudflare Web Analytics — the same provider that already hosts the site. It counts page views, the page someone came from and how quickly pages load. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, doesn’t fingerprint your browser and doesn’t follow you to other websites, so it can’t build a profile of you. We see totals and trends, not individuals.
Because we set no non-essential cookies and store nothing on your device for analytics, you won’t see a cookie consent banner on this site — there’s nothing that legally requires one.
4. Fonts and third parties
The fonts used on this site are hosted on our own servers, not loaded from a third party. That means no data about your visit — not even your IP address — is shared with an external font provider. We’ve deliberately kept the site free of third-party requests that could track you. The only exception is on our forms, where Cloudflare Turnstile runs a privacy-preserving check that you’re a person rather than a bot — it’s there to stop spam and abuse, not to track you.
5. Managing cookies
You’re always in control of cookies through your browser settings. You can block or delete cookies at any time — every major browser lets you do this, and provides guidance:
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how parts of the site perform, but you’re free to do so.
6. Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies in future, we’ll update this policy and add a proper consent mechanism before any such cookies are set. The “last updated” date above shows when this policy last changed.
